This expression, an Invergordon 40 Years Old, is rich and creamy on the nose with hints of syrup and hazelnuts. The palate carries a slight spiciness, with honeycomb, ginger and dark fruits, and a long, liquorice finish.
The rich and creamy nose shows hints of golden syrup, hazelnuts and just-picked raspberries. A slight spiciness is unveiled on the palate, along with honeycomb with ginger and lashing of dark fruit coulis. The medium-long finish displays a slight hint of liquorice, butterscotch and condensed milk.
This single cask bottling was matured in a refill barrel, cask reference DL10577.
