When ownership of GlenAllachie Distillery was taken, the Master Distiller Billy Walker embarked on an in-depth cask evaluation programme across the 50,000 casks on-site. The results of his expert endeavours can be seen in the multi-award winning core range and in the single cask releases, where Billy has had the opportunity to showcase exceptional casks and highlight his approach to wood management.
The third batch of single casks exclusive to the UK, each skilfully demonstrating the unique interaction of the wood, spirit and subsequent flavour extension. The classic sweet wine from Sauternes in the French Bordeaux region, is produced using the noble rot and results in a luscious and delectable wine. These barriques are sourced from a Premier Cru winery and deliver a rich, honeyed sweetness with an explosion of fruit.
COLOUR: Straw Gold.
NOSE : Heather honey, peaches, apricots and notes of ginger.
TASTE: Brimming with heather honey, peaches and apricots, fused with hazelnuts and grapefruit.
