Tinpot Hut, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022 6 bottles. Straw yellow in colour with green hues. This wine has perfumes of lemon and grapefruit with some floral notes, which follow onto the palate. A pleasant mineral character, good concentration and acidity with a hint of acacia honey on the finish.

Judges Warren Gibson said ”Very attractive. Fresh and vibrant. Excellent wine. Lifted and pure with excellent richness and length...” and Brent Marris commented “Lovely bright green notes on nose following through to palate. Great acid balance with lovely tension coming through in the wine. Good concentration right through to finish."
Yes that’s right!! 98 points and an ‘exceptional’ rating! We are thrilled to announce that our 2016 Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc came out tops at the recent NZ Sauvignon Blanc Vintage Release wine tasting held by Decanter Magazine UK.
Up against 92 other Sauvignon Blancs the Tinpot Hut SB came out on top with a phenomenal score of 98 points.
Judge Melanie Brown commented: "...A concentrated and poised amalgamation of complexity and style, effortlessly pure and well composed with nice phenolics and crisp acidity."
Cameron Douglas, judge, referred to our wine as “Classic herbal, grassy and fruity bouquet with flavours of fresh lemon and grapefruit, then red apple and some tropical fruit; vibrant acidity, refreshing, balanced and well made with decent length.”
